The race starts at the Rugby Club, wends its way to Mobberley and returns, finishing near "Garbo".

There's always someone who forgets his kit...
Wilmslow Half Marathon is an annual event that's got bigger over the years and now has around 3,700 entrants with many more turned away. The pictures below are from the 2003 Marathon on Sunday 23rd March.
A few minutes into the race and the leading pack runs through Morley village, following the curve of the road.

At left race marshals in Allsports binbag chic. This year the race attracted a good number of cyclists and marshals were kept busy shooing them aways from the finish line. Below pictures of runners nearing the end of the race. |
